Trophy Shipping Services provides premier air cargo handling services designed to bridge the gap between the warehouse and the runway. We specialize in the rapid processing of time-critical shipments, ensuring your freight meets its flight window every single time.
We don't just move freight; we optimize it for flight. Our facility is equipped to handle the unique requirements of modern aviation logistics.
Documentation Check: We verify the Air Waybill (AWB) and security declarations.
Weight & Measurement: Every piece is weighed and measured precisely. In aviation, Volume Weight vs Actual Weight determines the cost and aircraft placement.
Security Screening: All cargo must pass through X-ray machines, ETD (Explosive Trace Detection), or physical inspection to be cleared for flight.
Air cargo isn’t just tossed into a plane. It is packed into Unit Load Devices (ULDs)—these are the specialized aluminum containers or pallets shaped to fit the curve of an aircraft’s fuselage.
Contouring: We stack boxes to match the specific “contour” (shape) of the plane’s hold.
Netting & Strapping: Cargo is secured with heavy-duty nets to ensure nothing shifts during turbulence.
Before loading, the “Load Master” calculates the aircraft’s Center of Gravity (CG).
Heavy pallets are placed over the wing area (the strongest part of the plane).
The total weight must stay below the Maximum Zero Fuel Weight (MZFW) to ensure the pilot can safely take off and land.
Once the “Load Plan” is approved, the ULDs are moved to the aircraft via “dollies” (specialized trailers).
High-Loaders: A motorized platform lifts the ULD to the cargo door level.
Power Drive Units (PDUs): The floor of the plane has built-in rollers that allow a single operator to “drive” the 5-ton containers into their exact designated spots.
Upon landing, the process reverses:
Stripping: ULDs are pulled from the plane and moved to the terminal.
De-Consolidation: We break down the pallets and sort individual shipments for final-mile delivery.
